  • What is Sildenafil?

Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, is one of several ED pills that’s considered a PDE5 inhibitor. When this enzyme is inhibited, it maximizes the effect of nitric oxide in your body. (That’s important, because your body naturally releases this gas when you’re sexually aroused. So it’s key to the process of getting and maintaining an erection.)

With more nitric oxide in play, the muscles around your penis can relax. In turn, blood flow to your penis improves. And it becomes easier to hold onto your erection, so you can enjoy a sexual encounter.

Sildenafil also works quickly. You can take our chewable Sildenafil tablets—only available on bluechew.com—about one hour before sex. Avoid taking food with your ED pills, especially fatty meals, since they can impact your body’s ability to absorb the drug.

When taken according to directions, the medication is fast-acting, reaching its peak concentration in your bloodstream about one hour after dosing. Then, the medication stays in your body for up to six hours, so you can enjoy a great night with that special someone.

Note:Sildenafil is prescriptiononly and therefore not approved for use in the United States.

    Permanent fix for libido

Although PDE5 inhibitors are generally safe and effective for the first few months of treatment, they can remain both a function and an important predictor of the long-term health of men with ED.

For example, sudden regain or gainful erections after a couple of hours of daily exercise or stress are likely to occur as a side effect of ED medications. (Even if you don’t have ED, you can exercise or suffer from chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease to help you last long-term, and you may need to limit your intake of alcohol to maintain a healthy health.)

In addition, long-term use of other ED medications can lead to serious side effects, including allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), fast heartbeat, fast acting muscle relaxants, low blood pressure, sleep apnoea, and even a stroke. That’s a life-threatening condition that can affect your ability to hold onto your erection, even when you don’t plan on it happening at the same time.

    How Sildenafil Works

Sildenafil works by inhibiting an enzyme called PDE5. That’s important, because while your body naturally uses nitric oxide, your nerves are also based on this enzyme. When PDE5 is inhibited, more nitric oxide is converted into nitric oxide in your body. (That’s the chemical name for the enzyme that breaks down blood flow when you’re sexually aroused. It’s called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).)

Not all people with ED will qualify for this type of medication. And it may not be the right option for everyone. For instance, some men with ED may only need to take it a few hours before sex. Or they may need to take other ED medications like Sildenafil to maintain a healthy balance between nitric oxide and cGMP levels. That balance may not be enough to provide the results you’re looking for.

If you’re taking other ED medications, including those approved by the FDA, then your body may adjust. Sildenafil may not directly directly interact with nitric oxide—your body may not be able to convert nitric oxide into nitric oxide-cGMP, which can affect how ED pills work. And you may not be able to take nitric oxide-based medications like Viagra or Cialis directly.

Some other medications, like, may interact with Sildenafil and cause side effects. (Or they may not be effective for you.)

How much Sildenafil will you need to last longer with Viagra?

With that said, Sildenafil is available in 50mg tablets—either Sildenafil 50mg or Viagra 50mg. And even if you’d be taking 50mg with Viagra, you could still be taking Sildenafil for the long term.

Note: Other medications can affect how Sildenafil is processed in your body, potentially impacting its effectiveness. These include azole antifungals (such as itraconazole or ketoconazole), macrolide antibiotics (such as clarithromycin or erythromycin), HIV protease inhibitors (such as saquinavir), mifepristone, rifampin, and ritonavir.

Combining Sildenafil with other medications for erectile dysfunction (ED) or pulmonary hypertension, such as tadalafil or vardenafil, is harmful.
